ElectroCat and KillaCycle at UC Boulder

University of Colorado at Boulder has a summer class in Electric Vehicles, and we were yesterday invited to show our bikes.

15 very interested students and their equally interested professor Jean Koster listened to our presentations and asked questions for two hours. The questions were very intelligent and we were impressed by both the student’s interest and knowledge. That made it a great day.

We also showed the new bio-diesel power system in our race trailer. We are beta testers for bio-diesel for CumminsOnan abosolutely wonderful and extremely quiet RV HQD 8/10 Hybrid Diesel system. The generator supplies up to 8 kW power, and short time up to 10 kW thanks to a 500 Ah battery bank. The systems gives seamless power and automatical shifts form shore power to generator. It also gives a perfect sine wave, which most generators don’t.

The CumminsOnan RV HDQ Hybrid Diesel system is also prepered to handle input from solar cells and windpower, and it is the perfect system if you want to go off-grid. Learn more about CumminsOnan HDQ systems here.

We will soon publish a blog about our installation of the OnanCummins power sytem.

Colorado Daily wrote a very nice little article about our visit at the university. Read it here.

Picture: Colorado Daily where there with both camera man and reporter.

Pictures: Both ElectroCat and KillaCycle had to be as beautiful as possible.

Picture: They were all amazed by how silent ElectroCat is. I personally think that the bike is too noisy – you can hear both the chain and the motor brushes – but I guess that I am just picky…
