ElectroCat has arrived!

Finally! ElectroCat has been released from customs and arrived home to me!

Enough paperwork is now done to get it released from customs. Many thanks to Pilot Freight Services and Gallagher Transportation that helped me with all the paperworks. I wouldn’t have managed this without their help. Thanks also to Department of Transportation that approved the import of ElectroCat for “demostration purposes”.

Unfortunately, some paperwork is left to get it street legal… But before that, I have to install new batteries. The batteries weren’t certified for air freight and I had to leave them in Sweden. New batteries will arrive tonight from Richard Hatfield in California, a KillaCycle team member that imports containers of Thunder Sky cells. Richard converts Prius cars into plug-in hybrids and motorcycles into electric. You will see some amazing vehicles from him on the market later this year.

Anyway – ElectroCat (a.k.a. “my baby”) is finally here. Some photos from the delivery below.

My Christmas gift has finally arrived! 🙂

Cargo Support AB in Sweden built a nice crate for the bike.

It looks OK so far. I will get the real facts when I take off the bubble wrap later today.

Hey?! Where did the bike go? It’s gone! Only parts of the crate left!

Phew! It wasn’t gone. It was just eager to get away from the wind and into the garage. KillaCycle is behind it and the KillaCycle cowling to the right.

Happy New EV Year from Eva and ElectroCat!

<<<< UPDATE >>>

ElectroCat was in perfect condition under the bubble wrap, the nice crate from Cargo Support AB really did its work.

New batteries has also arrived. In an attempt to make the bike to faster, I will go up in voltage från 53 V to 100-somethng. I can’t fit much more batteries in the bike, so I will go for smaller cells instead – 40 Ah instead of 90 Ah – and more of them, 30-40 instead of 16.
