I was awarded the SheEmoto Prize for at Female Rider of the Year at BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials at Bonneville last year. The engraved beautiful glass trophy arrived during the winter, but last week was the first time I got a chance to have a picture taken with the trophy and the assembled KillaJoule.

Here is our 2012 SheEmoto Award winner, Eva Håkansson. Check her out:
“Born in Sweden, motorcycle racing is in Eva’s blood. With the help of her father, Sven, Eva built Sweden’s first street-legal electric motorcycle ElectroCat. ElectroCat was the first electric motorcycle to conquer the legendary Pike’s Peak Hill Climb in 2010. Now teamed up with her USA husband, Bill Dube’, owner and designer of the record-holding KillaCycle electric dragbike, they have set their sights on land speed racing. Their latest project is the electric streamliner sidecar motorcycle KillaJoule that reached 216 MPH last year and holds the world record in its class. The goal this year is to break 225 MPH and be the world’s fastest sidecar of any kind. The 19 ft. and 400 horsepower bike is piloted by Eva herself.”
